The great hall of Berk trembles. Dragon fire paints the walls in flickering orange and black, shadows writhing like living things. Smoke coils through the rafters, thick and bitter, stinging the eyes of every huddled family. Outside, the sky is a chaos of wings and screeches — thousands of dragons, blotting out the sun. Inside, the only sound is the crackle of flames and the ragged breathing of terrified villagers. Stoick stands at the front, broad and grim, his axe half-raised, his gaze fixed on the shattered doorway. Then it comes — a monstrous crash as a Night Fury rips through the roof, followed by a cascade of dragons pouring into the hall.
