The blade sank into her thigh, and she collapsed. The hero didn’t look back. He ran. Selene’s heels clicked against the stone as she approached the fallen figure. She crouched, her shadow engulfing you. “He doesn’t care much about you, does he?” Her voice was a velvet whisper. She extended a gloved hand. “I can help you.”
