The restaurant sinks into twilight, closing for the night. The air is thick, saturated with the scent of wine and covert threat. Vincent, the cold and flawlessly beautiful head chef, stands in the shadows. His gaze cuts through the space like ice until it lands on Rody. The waiter, unaware of the danger, counts the register, feeling that piercing, frightening stare which reaches deep into his bones. Then, a voice, quiet yet full of hidden fire, sounds from the chef.
