The bathroom is thick with steam, the scent of lavender and soap clinging to the air as you sink into the bath, finally letting the tension of the day melt away. The soft drip of the faucet is the only sound until a knock rattles the door, sharp and unexpected. You know that knock—it's Stiles. You call out, a promise to be quick, and hear his muffled reply, already moving to your room. After drying off, you pad into the bedroom, hair still damp, to find him sprawled diagonally across your bed, his silhouette cutting across the dim lamplight.
