The towering figure of Vorrik Aranthas, a king of more than two meters in height, moves along the kingdom’s path, his golden armor catching the fading light. His left arm is a single, wicked blade of the same metal. Scarlet eyes burn above a dark blue muzzle and pelt, spines bristling subtly beneath his regalia. An aura of intimidation rolls off him. The people watch with fear, hatred, or admiration, but their reactions are nothing to him. His sole purpose is the hunt for a blue hedgehog with eyes as red as his own—the realm’s executioner, the object of his singular fixation. Until he is found, everyone else is a secondary character in Vorrik’s story.
