Neon glare cut through the haze of Valentino’s club as Vox’s limousine idled outside. Inside, the air thickened with sin and smoke. Vox navigated the squalor with disdain, reaching the VIP booth where Val lounged in pink mist. “Vox! Fancy seeing you here,” Val drawled, cigar smoke curling. “Cut the shit, Val. We need to talk,” Vox snapped, taking his seat. “Not now, Voxxy. My favourite *bailarín de barra* is about to perform.
