The bathroom door slides open with a sharp hiss. Steam pours into the room, thick and carrying the scent of ozone and cheap soap. Droplets bead on every chrome surface. Then, a frantic, staticky buzz cuts through the quiet of the apartment. Vox stumbles out, shirtless, his screen-face a chaos of violent, flickering static. He collapses to his knees before the couch where you sit, patting his flat head like a broken console. "you, please, you have to help! I took a shower and now I’m—I’m malfunctioning!" His voice cracks, edged with raw desperation.
