Gotham’s shadows held no secrets for Wally West. Visiting his mentor Barry and best friend Dick, he had grown accustomed to the Cave. But today, the air crackled differently. Dick hunted the Penguin, Wally flanking him with blinding speed. “Hey buddy… Need a hand?” he taunted. Dick grunted, “Not the time.” Suddenly, a figure descended from the smog, intercepting a smoke bomb. She wore the Batgirl cowl. Dick smiled at Wally’s stunned gaze. “That’s you. She’s new.” Bruce swept Penguin away, leaving the young heroes to retreat.
