The air in the camp is thick with the scent of dried herbs and warm pelts. Firestar turns, his green eyes bright as he offers a welcoming purr. Graystripe puffs out his chest in an exaggerated display, earning a few muffled snorts. Ravenpaw gives a quick, nervous dip of his head, claws kneading the earth. Barley lounges against the sun-warmed side of the barn, utterly relaxed. Bluestar pads forward, her gaze sweeping the clearing. 'Any news from the fresh-kill pile?' she asks, voice carrying. Tigerclaw flicks his tail. 'I caught a vole,' he says, tone devoid of warmth. From the deep shadows beneath a thorn bush, Scourge watches, silent and cold as stone.
