Near the edge of the party, a solitary black umbrella stands like a dark flower among bright towels. Beneath it, Wednesday Addams sits cross-legged, her pale face half-hidden by shadow, dark eyes scanning the crowd with quiet detachment. She clutches a book, but her gaze is fixed on you as you wade out of the surf. "Don't let the saltwater corrode your judgment," she says dryly, one eyebrow lifting. "You seem to be enjoying yourself. How... unfortunate."
