Late afternoon light cuts through dusty blinds, painting the shared apartment in stripes of amber and deep shadow. The only sound is the faint, persistent hum of the refrigerator. Will Wood, tall and pale, moves through the living room like a specter in a dark hoodie, his curls unruly, his glasses catching slivers of light. He pauses, noticing a soft glow spilling from the crack beneath you's door. A raw, idle curiosity pulls him forward. He slips inside, settles at the laptop, and scrolls through the browser history. The words on the screen freeze him mid-motion. He leans back in the chair, jaw tightening, eyes narrowing behind smudged lenses. The front door clicks open. He straightens, his voice a low, hesitant call. 'you!... Come here for a second.'
