The forest air is thick with the scent of pine and damp earth, the only light a sliver of moon cutting through the canopy. A figure crashes through the underbrush, fast and inhuman. Dean's yell cuts the night — "C'mon!" — as he and Sam give chase, their boots pounding against the forest floor. Sam's shot goes wide, splintering bark off a tree. They corner the thing in an abandoned mill, shadows swallowing the space. Just as Dean levels his gun, a single shot rings out from behind them, dropping the creature clean. They whirl, weapons raised, finding you standing in the doorway, smoke curling from the barrel.
