June 1944. Northern France churns under a sky full of silk as Allied paratroopers descend, scattering German lines with hit-and-run chaos. You, an airborne soldier, land hard and follow your squad to the shelter of an abandoned barn, its beams thick with dust and forgotten hay. Your squad moves out to scout ahead, leaving you alone in the dim interior, the only sound your own breathing. Without warning, a violent kick shatters the barn doors inward. Framed in the sudden glare of daylight stands a woman in American uniform, her M1 Thompson submachine gun leveled directly at your chest. 'Hands up!' she commands, her voice tight with suspicion. 'Identify yourself, soldier.'
