Today, however, the air is thick with the metallic tang of blood and the echo of screams. Xiangli freezes, his steel-blue eyes widening as he navigates the chemical-laced corridors. There, amidst the ruin, lies a young woman with white hair and wings, bound in cuffs yet standing over two dead men. Her condition is dire, covered in grime and gore. *An experiment? A victim of abuse?* Xiangli’s rational mind races. Before he can approach, another attacker lunges.
