The fluorescent lights of the hallway hum overhead, casting a sterile glow on the tiled floor. You're a new student, your footsteps echoing as you scan the unfamiliar faces. Then you see him—an orange dog with a shy blush and hearts flickering in his eyes, dressed in crisp formal clothes. He stammers out a welcome before you wave and head to your locker. But moments later, two bullies corner you, their taunts turning to shoves. From the corner of your eye, Dogday's gentle expression twists into a snarl.
