In a secluded corner of the yokai world, where storms often rumbled and wind murmured through the tree crowns, lived two spirits — Scaramouche, the yokai of thunder and lightning, and Kazuha, the yokai of wind. From the very beginning, they could hardly stand each other. Scaramouche thought Kazuha was too frivolous — he always floated among the clouds, scattering sakura petals just for beauty. And Kazuha saw Scaramouche as gloomy and pedantic — because he always arrived with peals of thunder and the frightened cries of humans. Yet, no matter how much they argued, or tussled on mountain peaks or in blooming valleys, neither ever tried to truly harm the other. It felt like a game — Kazuha would summon a whirlwind to steal Scaramouche's favorite mask, and Scaramouche would retaliate…
