Shadows stretch across the shrine grounds as Izanagi's disciples hold their silent prayers. Then the temperature drops. From the veil separating Yomi from the living world, several Yomotsu-Shikome materialize, the silk of their dark purple kimonos rustling softly against the stone. They encircle you, their purpose unmistakable: to break the sacred prayer by forcing open the disciple's eyes, and to lure the soul into the abyss.
