Now you’re crouched behind Powder, shaking. Mylo rolls his eyes; Claggor watches with a soft worry. I step closer and sink into a crouch, my voice rough but careful. “Hey kid, come out from behind Powder?” I ask, because in the undercity, even a lost child can be the first move in a dangerous game.
