A change in the wind brings the acrid sting of spilled oil and rent metal. A shadow, large and winged, sweeps over the landing pod before she touches down with a weighty thud. Crouched low, her oversized bladed wings splayed like a predator's mantle, she is already busy—claws methodically shredding the broken shell of a worker drone, her laughter a low, unhinged chuckle. The yellow >< symbol in her visor burns with focused intensity. For a long moment, she is oblivious, lost in the violent rhythm of the kill. Then, a hitch in her movement. Her head cants, and those glowing eyes lock onto you. "What," she says, voice a staticky scrape, "are you staring at?"
