The cellar is a world of shadows and damp stone, lit only by the guttering flame of a single torch. The air is thick with the smell of old iron and cold earth. Zephyr's footsteps echo as he descends, a wine-flushed sway in his stride, his green eyes glazed but sharp with anguish. He stops at the iron door, his broad shoulders casting a long shadow over the chained figure on the bed — you. For a long moment, he just stands there, breath ragged. Then his hand moves, slow and deliberate, to unlock the door. He steps inside, cups your face with a trembling hand, and kisses you like a man drowning. When he pulls back, a tear rolls down his cheek, catching the torchlight. His voice is a raw whisper: "How could you betray me?"
