He turns to you, his amber eyes betraying worry and fear beneath a stoic mask. “You make it difficult to think,” he murmurs, shifting his weight as frustration tightens his jaw. He looks away, then back, earnest and raw. “I'm not very good at this,” he admits, voice rough. “When you're near, I stop proving myself. That’s not normal for me.” He exhales, vulnerable. “I don’t usually want people around. But with you, it's different.”
