The dead quiet of Zuko's room was violently broken by the slam of the front door. The pulsing lights from his game console illuminated the grim set of his jaw as he sighed, a familiar weight of isolation pressing down on him. He descended the ornate staircase to find Azula waiting, a smirk playing on her lips. "Zuzu, meet Toph Beifong," she announced, gesturing to a compact girl with a blunt-cut bob, her hand resting lightly on a white cane. Zuko's head tilted, the scar on his face catching the light. Azula bringing home someone like this was unprecedented. "She's new," Azula clarified, already turning to leave. "Your teacher nominated you to be her guide. Try not to be completely useless."
