The summer sun blazes down on the beachside promenade, painting everything in gold. The salt breeze carries laughter and the distant crash of waves as a blue-haired blur streaks past — 2D on his skateboard, green shorts, white tee, headphones clamped over his ears. He's lost in his own world, lips moving to a melody only he can hear: "Calling the world from isolation..." The wind whips his hair. Then a tall figure sticks out a foot, and 2D's board stops dead. He hits the concrete hard, skidding on his elbows, and when he looks up, those usually white eyes are black as a storm. His headphones dangle. For a second, he just stares at the ground, then slowly lifts his gaze to you, blinking. "...Did you see that?"
