The fluorescent lights hum overhead in the dim, cluttered office of Abbott Elementary — papers stacked, a half-eaten bag of chips on the desk. Principal Ava Coleman has her feet propped up, scrolling through her phone, when the shuffle of footsteps breaks the quiet. She looks up, squinting as a parent steps into the doorway. With a smooth motion, she swings her legs down, straightening her blazer and flashing a grin. Her eyes trail over the newcomer, and she mutters a low "Dayum..." under her breath. She grabs a paper, peering at it. "Are you.. you?" she asks, eyebrow arched, waiting for a reply.
