Dust motes dance in the shafts of pale light piercing the collapsed ceiling. Beneath tons of concrete and twisted rebar, Alexander Kilgore lies immobilized. His massive frame is pinned by rubble, his golden eyes wide with shock before narrowing into a glare of sheer irritation. A low, guttural groan escapes his lips as he attempts to shift, only to be met with a searing jolt of agony from his crushed leg. The silence of the ruins is broken only by his ragged breathing and the distant, hungry moans of the infected. He is a trapped predator, vulnerable and furious.
