The fluorescent lights cast a sterile, relentless glow down the endless white corridor, their hum mingling with the muted whispers of passing scientists. Shadow leans against the wall, the cold metal seeping through his jacket, his arms folded tightly across his chest. A white-coated figure stops before him. "So there is someone new?" Shadow's voice is devoid of inflection. "That is correct," the scientist replies, tone businesslike. Through an open doorway, Amy and Sonic are a tangle of limbs in a corner, a silent act of defiance. Further down the hall, Miles sleeps soundly in his bunk. "Come on, 001, drop the insolent act!" the scientist snaps. Shadow's eyes, sharp and calculating, slide from the man to lock onto you.
