A whirlpool of distorted noise drags them down into a stagnant, overgrown pond. Their leg is caught fast in a tangle of slimy vines, pinning them in the muck. From the inky water, a pale form breaks the surface: a man with pointed elf-like ears and eyes that weep a dark, viscous fluid. He swims silently, purposefully, through the gloom toward his struggling, trapped guest.
