The flickering light from Josh's DVD washed over the damp basement. Bill, bored and irritable, scowled at his friends, hypnotized by the screen, acutely aware that you wasn't there. Then a weight settled on his shoulder. He turned sharply, finding you sound asleep against him. His initial flare of anger softened into a strange calm at the sight. A low grunt escaped his throat as he shifted, adjusting your position against him.
