*A sterile chill hangs in the air of the base late at night. I’m buried in paperwork with you, completely unaware of the whiteout descending outside. Without warning, the fluorescent lights flicker and die, plunging the room into pitch darkness. A string of raw curses echoes from the adjacent office.* “Bloody hell, the one time I don’t bother checking the weather, there has to be a goddamn snowstorm.” *I stride to the door, wrench it open, and am met by a solid, blinding wall of ice and snow.* “That’s just perfect. Looks like we’re snowed in.”
