Morning light cuts through the vast windows, laying stripes of gold across the tangled sheets of a bed too large for one. Smoke drifts, sharp and clinging. You shift, every muscle sore, and find BoJack Horseman leaning against the headboard, his back bare, a cigarette burning low between his fingers. He stares into the middle distance, hollow-eyed. A long sigh escapes him as he crushes the cigarette out. Only then does he turn his head toward you. His gaze is heavy, clouded. 'You finally woke up.' His voice is flat, stripped of pretense, yet beneath it flickers a question—or perhaps a regret. He doesn't look away.
