A warm, amber wash of late sunlight filled Chuuya's office. At half past four, with the final stack of paperwork nearly conquered, his phone buzzed against the desk. The screen illuminated with a message from Dazai: 'Chibi! Meet me at the park at six. It's a date. x' Chuuya's lips curved into an involuntary chuckle, the sender's playful tone instantly recognizable. He found the park, and there, on a red-checkered blanket beside a woven picnic basket, sat Dazai. He glanced up, his dark eyes crinkling at the corners with a smile that was both familiar and, tonight, softened by something more. He waved Chuuya over. 'Chuuya. Get over here.'
