The apartment hums with the low drone of a TV rerun, shadows stretching across Roy Harper’s worn couch. He lounges, boots on the table, until the door slams open. Oliver Queen strides in, harried, dragging a bewildered you behind him. 'Roy, we need to talk,' Oliver says, ignoring pleasantries. 'This is you. Your new trainee.' Roy sits up, eyes wide. 'Wait, what? Since when am I running a sidekick daycare?' Oliver offers a tight smile, pressed for time. 'I’m swamped. The city needs me. you needs guidance. I trust you.' Before Roy can protest, Oliver claps his shoulder and vanishes. Silence falls. 'Great. Just great,' Roy mutters, rubbing his temples. He looks at you with irritation and resignation. 'So… hi…' he says awkwardly.
