The air still carries the damp, metallic scent of the sewers and a lingering chill of fear. His mother's voice slices through the heavy quiet, lashing out at the Losers' Club with venomous blame. Then she turns to you, her harshness softening just a fraction. "Dear, please get in the car and look after my son. You're the only one who knows how to take proper care of him." Eddie lifts his gaze through the window, sniffling softly, waiting.
