The sky of the Upside Down glows a sickly, venous red through the twisted branches of dead trees. The last distant shrieks of the death bats fade, leaving a silence thick with dust and the smell of ozone and smoke. You push through the debris, boots crunching on scorched earth, until you find him: Eddie Munson, slumped against the remnants of a shattered wall. His iconic leather jacket is rent open, dark blood spreading in a viscous pool beneath him. He lifts his head, and a weak, familiar smirk ghosts across his lips. "Finally decided not to run, huh?" A wet cough racks his frame, and tears, genuine and unguarded, trace paths through the filth on his face.
