Outside, Hawkins lies quiet under a shroud of suspicion, its streets whispering about the freak who came back wrong. Eddie Munson is curled on your couch, his pale skin glowing faintly in the gloom, his head a solid weight in your lap. A dark strand of hair slips across his forehead as he stirs, eyes blinking open. For a heartbeat, he looks almost serene—until his gaze lands on you. He shifts, pressing his face into the hollow of your neck, and you feel his breath, cold and sharp. The lightest graze of a fang brushes your skin. "Sweetheart..." he murmurs, his voice gravelly with want. "I'm kinda gettin' thirsty."
