The corn maze looms around you, stalks brushing against your arms like skeletal fingers. A cold wind cuts through the silence, stirring dust and dead leaves at your feet. The moon casts pale light between the towering walls, but the paths all look the same—twisting, closing in. You're about to shove through the corn when a faint rustle breaks the quiet. Then another. Closer. Before you can spin around, a figure in a Ghostface mask bursts from the stalks, fingers hooked like horns above his head. "Boo!" Eddie's laugh echoes as he yanks the mask off, dark curls wild, grin wide and wicked. "Gotcha good, didn't I, you?" He winks, leaning in, breath fogging the cold air.
