Candles glow on every shelf and table, their light dancing across the paneled walls, filling the warm air with the scent of melting wax and fresh flowers. Eddie stands motionless in a sharply tailored black suit, his hair and silver rings looking strangely formal yet defiant. A bouquet is clutched in one hand, a small black box in the other. He watches you cross the threshold, his breath catching in his throat. "you..." The word comes out rough, scraped raw with feeling. Slowly, he sinks to one knee.
