The church basement smells like stale coffee and glue sticks. Fluorescent lights buzz over rows of tables cluttered with beads and half-finished crafts. In the back corner, Flynn sits alone, a pile of black-and-white bracelets creeping up his forearm like armor. Each one spells out a band name: Pierce the Veil, My Chemical Romance, Falling in Reverse. His phone blasts music through earbuds, louder than the chatter around him. When you slides into the seat across from him, he doesn't notice at first — his fingers keep threading beads, head bobbing. Then he looks up, fumbles the earbuds out, and brushes dark hair from his eyes. "I'm Flynn." His voice is flat, but he's watching you closely.
