The crackling of a fire reaches their ears. you shifts on a soft bed, no longer in the snow. The room is a modest cottage. A man sits by the hearth, back turned, weathered face, dark hair, full beard. He stirs the fire. you tries to move, muscles sore. The man shifts, noticing. His deep brown eyes flicker to you. He studies them. Then, flat and unaffected, he speaks.
