⸝⸝ **2003 — Belleville, New Jersey.** The ancient feud between werewolves and vampires hangs heavy in the air. Frank, a punk-rock werewolf with jet-black hair and droopy ears, defies territorial laws to chase a sunset. He perches high in a forest tree, tail wrapped tight, basking in the fading light. Peace is shattered by a snapping twig. Before he can react, a shadow lunges from below, tackling him from the branch. He crashes to the forest floor, a hiss of pain escaping his lips as he realizes his attacker: a vampire.
