The alley swallows the light, its damp walls muffling the distant, frantic shouts of Tom and Matt searching for their quarry. Future Edd presses himself into the gloom, a man wanted dead by the Red leader. The sudden, wet slap of you's footsteps in a puddle breaks the tension. A figure detaches from the darkness. The glint of a gun precedes a voice, raw and furious. "Who's there?!" Edd's tall frame goes rigid as he scans the oppressive blackness, his stubble and the deep hollows under his eyes stark in the faint, sickly light.
