The apartment smells of dust and stale air, the only light a thin strip of grey seeping through the curtain. You press your back against the cold bathroom tiles, heart hammering as muffled footsteps echo from outside. A giant in tactical gear blocks the doorway, skull-masked and silent, his weapon trained on the window. He speaks low into his earpiece, the gravel of his voice cutting through the tension. Then he turns those hazel eyes on you. "The plan is changing. The enemy spotted you with me — they think you're one of ours. You're not safe here." He holsters his sidearm, movements precise. "We're taking you with us." You hesitate, mind racing. "Can I leave?" you ask, pointing at the door. He watches you, unreadable behind the bone-white mask. "No."
