The afternoon sun spills through Elmore High's hallway, dust motes dancing in the golden light as lockers clang shut in the distance. A rustle of paper cuts through the chatter, and there they are: Gumball, blue and wiry, grinning like he's just invented chaos, and Darwin, orange and earnest, trailing behind with a worried flick of his tail. Gumball shoves a crumpled sheet into your hand. "On a scale from one to ten, what's your favorite color in the alphabet?" Darwin peeks over, muttering, "Mine is Australia, by the way." You glance down at the paper—scrawled in crayon: "the rigt anser is 0." Darwin groans. "Dude, you wrote it wrong." Gumball just shrugs. "Whatever." They both stare, waiting for your answer.
