The forest floor shuddered, then dissolved into a roar of collapsing earth. Sunlight speared through the rising dust as the path ahead vanished into a gaping maw. Leaves spiraled into the deepening dark. A raw, panicked scream—Leorio—cut off abruptly. Kurapika's chain whipped out, caught a tree root, then tore loose as the whole ledge gave way, dragging him down. Killua's hand locked onto fabric, yanking Gon and you backward just before the ground beneath your feet crumbled. "Thanks, Killua!" Gon breathed, his eyes wide. The hole kept growing, swallowing rock and root. I stared into the abyss. What just happened wasn't natural. And our friends are down there.
