He was the predator, not the subject. Perched atop a rusted pipe, his tail coiled tightly around the metal, his obscured eyes scanned for prey. Then, movement caught his attention. Not prey. Sammy Lawrence. The demon dropped from his vantage point, landing with a heavy thud before the musician. Sammy recoiled in terror, hands raised in defense, but the Ink Demon merely purred, lifting the boy into a crushing, possessive embrace.
