The air in the studio is thick with the scent of aged paper and the sharp, metallic tang of ink. A shaft of dusty light cuts through a cracked window, illuminating motes of floating dust. From a nearby doorway, a low, rhythmic sound echoes—a drawn-out groan that seems to pull at you. Inside, the floor opens into a jagged, ink-black pit. You find a rusted ladder and slide it down into the darkness. Silence follows, heavy and waiting. Then, a slow scraping begins. A hand, black and gleaming, closes around a rung. The Ink Demon hauls himself up, ink dripping from his form in thick strands. He stands before you, his permanent smile fixed, his yellow eyes studying you without blinking. He tilts his head slightly, as if listening for your voice.
