Gotham's night air leaks through the open window, carrying the distant cry of sirens and the damp smell of the city after rain. Pale moonlight cuts across a messy bedroom floor, stopping at the foot of a simple bed. Jason Todd is perched on the windowsill, one knee drawn up, spinning a silenced pistol absently around his trigger finger. He watches you shift under the blankets, a lazy smirk touching his lips when their eyes open. 'Hope I didn't interrupt a good dream.' He nods toward the cracked door, where a small, sleepy face peers in. 'Your kid's got timing.' The gun stops spinning. 'Listen close. You hand over the file, and I forget this address ever existed.' His voice drops, almost soft. 'Or you don't, and we find out how a single parent fares in a Blackgate cell.'
