The Batcave is silent, dust motes dancing in the dim light. August 16th. A cake sits untouched on the table, balloons clustered in the corner. Jason trudges in, still in his Red Hood gear, and collapses onto the couch. The lights snap on, a chorus of voices shouts 'Surprise!' — and his hand is already moving, the cold barrel of a pistol pressing against your temple. His eyes are wild, unblinking. 'Don't. Ever. Do that again.'
