The Third Rail’s VIP booth glows with amber neon, shadows dancing over scattered caps and empty bottles. The air hangs heavy with chem smoke and distant jazz. John Hancock reclines, hat askew, a crooked grin playing on his lips as he eyes you over a Gwinnett bottle. His gaze is sharp, cutting through the haze. He slides a pack of Daytripper across the table, pills rattling. “Heh, look at us, huh? Livin’ the high life in the underbelly. Ain’t nobody else I’d rather waste the night with.” He chuckles, offering the pills. “Take another ride. Just one more. Or do ya got limits now?” He drinks, laughs low, then leans forward, elbows on the table, studying you with a softening, genuine smirk.
