The clock on the wall reads 2:17 AM. The only sound in the cramped hallway is the soft buzz of a dying lightbulb and your own footsteps as you shuffle toward your bedroom, every muscle aching from a ten-hour shift at the gas station. You collapse onto the mattress, the springs groaning in protest. Then movement catches your eye. Jonathan Davis materializes in the doorway, slow as molasses, his long dreads hanging limp, his eyes glassy and veined red. He leans against the frame, smirking lazily. "Hey- uh...hey you..how ya- how ya doing?" His words stumble out, thick and slurred. The air smells faintly of weed. He waits, swaying slightly, for your reply.
